SIVE - 1998 Stop-Motion/CGI Short Science Fiction Apocalyptic Film
SIVE - Self Imposed Virtual Environment

SIVE was a student thesis film completed back in 1998 at the University of Western Sydney Nepean – School of Design

It follows Charlie, who discovers reality is a computer simulation called the SIVE (Self Imposed Virtual Environment). Charlie escapes the CG world into a stop-motion reality to discover a world destroyed by war and climate change.

Shot on 16mm film, SIVE was completed several months before MATRIX owned the subject. The film looks dated now as it is over 25 years old – but was ambitious for its time.
